Shiba's Guidance XP Card Draw

L5R CCG Rules board, 22 March 2013 to 23 March 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

As a Phoenix player I attack and wipe out my opponents army and destroy the province while I have Shiba's Guidance in play. Do I draw 1 or 2 cards from that?

Shiba's Guidance XP triggers with the resolution, not with the destruction. When the battle resolution ends, Shiba just checks whether you destroyed either one or more provinces, or enemy cards or both. If the condition is true, you draw a card. But it only triggers once, even if the battle resolution destroys a province AND enemy cards - you may only get a card for each battle resolution (and copy of the celestial, that is)
