Question about "Revelations"

L5R CCG Rules board, 19 February 2013 to 20 February 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Hi Rules Team,

I was searching on the Forums and found this ruling from 2011. I hope it is still relevant.

The event "Revelations" reads:

Show the top five cards of your Dynasty deck. Choose another player who may discard one of the cards. Put the rest back in any order. Refill this province face-up.

If you resolve Revelations, refill it face up (per Revelations' card text), and the face up card is another Event, does that Event resolve as well? I wasn't sure after reading the EE rules' Event Phase section but per the above ruling I am thinking the answer is "Yes", since in that ruling an event resolved (or tried to), was refilled face up, and because it re-appeared (in the same province) face up it was resolved (again). I would appreciate a confirmation either way, though.

Thanks!

The new Event resolves. From the CR on the Events Phase procedure:

F. a. If the province contains a different face-up card than the one dealt with in the previous steps B through E (for example, if the previous card was discarded and the province refilled face-up), return to step B and follow steps B through F for the new card.
