I'm curious regarding the timing of Pekkle's trait
After Pekkle is destroyed: Lose 10 Honor.

Limited: Each player may target one or two Personalities, each of whose base Gold Cost is equal to or lower than his controller's Stronghold's Gold production plus two. Destroy the targeted Personalities. Remove all of them that are Shadowlands from the game.

Before one of your cards enters either of your discard piles: Remove it from the game instead.

Regarding "Destruction", the CR state the following: 1. When a card is destroyed, it enters its appropriate discard pile, or leaves the game if it was a created card. While it remains in the discard pile, it is dead if it is a Personality.
So the process of being destroyed will involve entering the discard pile. This means that Otomo Sensei will remove Pekkle no Oni from the game before his trait is triggered; destruction hasn't finalized yet when Otomo Sensei kicks in.
On the other hand, Burn the Village allows the destruction to happen fully, then removes from the game.
