Hi,
I have Asako Jukko and Ryoshun's Guidance in play. I use Jukko's Battle/Open ability to swap her Chi and Force. My question is: how does Ryoshun's Guidance's trait influence her new stats? In other words, should I add another +1C to her new Chi after swapping or not?
Asako Jukko Personality Force: 2 Chi: 5 HR: 0 GC: 8 PH: 2
Phoenix Clan • Void • Monk • Henshin Battle/Open: Target a Personality with 1 Force or greater: Switch his Force and Chi. You may switch Jukko's Force and Chi.
Ryoshun's Guidance Celestial
Kami • Unique Your Personalities have +1C while they are not involved in a duel. Reaction: When another player's action would target one of your cards, discard this card: Choose another of your non-Stronghold cards at the same location. The action targets it instead, if legal.

If you "switch" stats, what you're doing is giving an appropriate modifier to each. Setting stats to a value Various effects “set” a stat to some particular value. Some effects also switch or copy stats, which involves setting stats to a particular value. To set a stat to a value, give it the smallest possible appropriate bonus or penalty (or the smallest possible gain or loss, for Honor) such that it would reach that value, not counting any maximum or minimum in effect for that stat.
See an example.
We've got a 2 / 5 personality (Asako Jukko) Ryoshun's Guidance enters play, giving her a +1C (let's bold it for tracking it easily), so her stats would be 2 / 6 (5+1)
Then Jukko's stats are "switched" (in dark red) -> 6 (2+4) / 2 (5+1-4)
When Ryoshun's is discarded, the +1 it gave disappears, and her stats become 6 (2+4) / 1 (5-4)
See that the Chi bonus never "moved", it was always there until you discarded Ryoshun's Guidance. It's just being included in the modifiers given when stats were switched, so it's never added again.
