I wanted to know if i can trigger The empress adress off of using great sacrifice during a battle?
Great Sacrifice Text Battle: Destroy your performing unbowed Personality and target an enemy unit with total Force equal to or lower than your performer's Force, plus Personal Honor, plus one if he is defending: Destroy the enemy unit.
The Empress' Address Text Reaction: After the resolution of an action or battle that destroyed any of your Personalities in a defending army, bow your performing Courtier or Empress and target your non-Unique Personality with your Clan alignment in your discard pile: Bring him into play (in your home), ignoring costs. Gain 2 Honor

Assuming your unit is in the defending army, yes you may react. The Empress' Address doesn't care who took the action or if it was a cost or an effect, only that the personality was non-unique and in a defending army when the action was played.
