Shiba's Guidance Timing

L5R CCG Rules board, 4 January 2013 to 8 January 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Recently in a game I had Shiba's Guidance out and took a province. After resolving all my onboard traits/reactions (dropping rings, and playing Introspections) I drew into another Introspection with the guidance. Now my question is am I able to play said Introspection? My opponent and I decided yes as the card draw from guidance isn't a reaction thus the timing window for Introspection hadn't closed yet. Any help would be awesome thanks.

Actually, the answer is no. The card draw from Shiba's Guidance is a separately timed effect, so when it resolves, your window to playing Introspection off the Rings has already passed.
