Jungle Stockade and Broken Cipher

L5R CCG Rules board, 12 November 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 12 November 2012

Transfering a spell from one Shugenja to another with Jungle Stockade will satisfy the requirement of attaching a spell for Broken Cipher, correct?

Transfering from the EE Comprehensive Rules:

Transfer To take an attachment card from one Personality and add it to the unit of another, different Personality. Transferring counts as attaching but not entering play. A player does not need to pay the card's costs when transferring it, but does need to meet requirements and restrictions of attachment, including restrictions on control of the card (e.g. Unique or Singular).

Broken Cipher:

Battle: If you have not put cards into your hand this phase and you have attached a Spell this turn: Draw two cards.

Jungle Stockade

Open: Choose your two performing Personalities and target an attachment on one of them: Transfer it to the other Personality.
