Hello
I'm here trying to work out how Learning fully functions in the game with the rules:
Learning Cost 0 Text Battle: Choose your performing Personality and a Battle Strategy in another player's discard pile: Its abilities may be used an additional time this turn. Your Personality copies a keyword on an enemy Personality. You may take an additional action to play the Strategy for one of its actions. After it resolves, remove it from the game.
My question is, Do actions remember game state? Spells and personalities retain game state such as dishonored or used unless turned face down, so for example.
My opponent plays Cast Aside the Weak Cost 0 Keywords Dark Virtue • Strength Text Open: Choose your performing Samurai: Straighten his unit. Battle: Choose your performing unbowed Samurai and target an enemy card without attachments: Bow it. Destroy it if your Samurai is a Paragon.
and I respond with
The Loyalty of the Scorpion Cost 0 Text As a Focus Effect: You may choose (now) to delay the effects of losing this duel until after the next Dynasty Phase begins. Reaction: After an action targets your Scorpion Clan Personality, destroy your performing Scorpion Clan Personality: Negate either the bowing, movement, or destruction of the target from the action's effects.
Negating the destruction caused by the action. On the same turn, does the game state remember that the actions destruction was to be negated meaning then when I used learning it would prevent the destruction of it?
And if so, Scenario B. If my opponent plays A Stain Cleansed Cost * Text Battle: Choose your performing unbowed Magistrate, target an enemy card without attachments or an enemy unit, and pay Gold equal to the card or unit's total Gold Cost minus 2: Destroy it.
Would gold need to be paid. Do any costs need to be paid for actions if they have been used?
