December 2022

Messages from the Sun and Moon #rules-questions Discord channel, copied for Oracle of the Void. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings and the rulebooks may differ.

go into Dropbox / Alternate Formats / and check one of Legacy rulesets like AEG Legacy or BigDeck one. There are list of keywords with descriptions. Dropbox link is in (link)

Sounds cool.

Bad, or maybe just bad crafted decks, in mana/holdings/resource based games may result in really negative experience. Thankfully, since Celestial edition, there are low chances to get gold screwed in L5R.

Am also a goofy deck fan

My rules knowledge ends just before they introduced the Naval keyword, more or less

A player, 18 December 2022 22:25

But would love to play like, plague skull token goofiness

A player, 18 December 2022 22:26

Or royokun sword dueling

A player, 18 December 2022 22:28

Or scorpion/tattooed monk

I loved the DPoS as a platform for whacky decks.

I remember having some whacky Sagoten build that used Ninja Shapeshifters and other unbowing effects, and Chasing the Shadow, to pull it off in one turn.

have you ever played yoritomo's alliance/sagoten

So we can just Interrupt a Reaction?

Alex Jones (rules official), 20 December 2022 22:23

Probably

Alex Jones (rules official), 20 December 2022 22:23

Remember, though, that that was written when Reactions were no longer part of the rules.

Alex Jones (rules official), 20 December 2022 22:24

Or perhaps more to the point, it was written for a ruleset which didn't include Reactions.

Alex Jones (rules official), 20 December 2022 22:25

So, if you're writing rules for cards which include both Reactions and Interrupts, then it's a decision that has to be made: Can Interrupts interrupt Reactions?

Alex Jones (rules official), 20 December 2022 22:26

The printed Rules don't really answer the question.
