Both cards effect conflict.
@kempy_nezumi Bayushi Kachiko, the card says it can remain bowed. Can it do so even if another card effect tells me to straighten it?

It can remain bowed.
Proof?
It's what the card says.
But his card (Izuna Sensei) says that it forces me to unbow and attack.
Both cards effect conflict.
"The player must declare an attack and assign the target, if possible (this turn). Straighten him or her before this phase ends."
it's not an option
The straighten effect fails, if Kachiko's controller decides to keep her bowed.
Her text "Kachiko may remain bowed" doesn't have any limitations on when it applies. She can decide to negate any straighten effect on her.
I agree with the above.
Anyone else care to weigh in?
He wrote same thing in the past on forum 🙂
Damn, just noticed it was one of the last "official" answers in the forum 11 - 09 - 2015
that was hard day for many ;/
Thank you.
And yes, very sad.
Hey, in the Jade era, if a Shireikan is attached to a monk and that monk dies (and I'm playing Monk), does the created Bushi with "my clan's alignment" have Monk and is able to cast Kiho?
I don't think so. In your case it's just 0f 1c blank Personality with Brotherhood clan alignment
Ahh. Fair. Brotherhood is the Clan alignment, not Monk. Good call.
/just edited/ - as i'm not sure how it worked in pearl, but later edition versions says created personality has 0f not 2f
Doesnt say it would copy traits, which casting a kiho would be a trait under monk.
I love that card with old border
Was great in Toturi's army
Yeah. I really enjoyed the art before the "middle". Also enjoyed the change in CE.
Is the target personality of Forward Encampment required to be present at the current battlefield or can I equip the spell to someone who's sitting at home? Also can the spell's ability be used again if already used before it's destruction?
The Personality you're Equiping the attachment to is targeted by the action, so they have to be at the current battlefield.
And cards have memory until they're face-down and out of play.
If the card is merely out of play, game state remembers whether or not its ability has been used.
How does one turn a card face down?
I mean what sort of effects would allow you to do that?
Ninjutsu?
Hmm?
or shuffling back into deck
What's the ninjutsu type actions and which editions would I find them in?
or return to your hand
Ninjutsu is Lotus stuff
Ah I see.
Put back in the deck is the main one]
Or back in your hand, or a province.
(Mind you, I can't think of any effects that put a card in a province from play that did so face down.)
20f/onyx legal card that put's cards out of play
Yeah but that doesn't move a card that's either in play or in your discard and puts them out of play.
So for the hooded ronin Cw his action is it a paid recruit or an unpaid
"Open, (bow), (): Give Destined to a target face-up Personality in a Province and ignore their Honor Requirement. If they are a Seven Thunder, you may Recruit them. One or more target players may each straighten a Ring they control."
The "()" means that the action has a variable gold cost, which is the cost of the Personality you Recruit.
Hi, just one question about asako sagoten and shadowland players and the stronghold with - 19 honor.
It is not possible de play sagoten versus these deck.
I am trying to play shadowland with the shrines of spirits.
Thanks
Sagoten only works if your Honour is at -19, against Shadowlands. After that, does not work.
OK so I must control my deck because - 20 is lost.
Thanks
Yup.
Depends what version of the rules you're playing with.
Later arcs let you survive getting to -20, as long as you were at -19 or above at the end of your turn.
Or at least, one arc did that.
That was pretty late in the game.
And dumb.
I don't insta-win on Honour. Okay. I don't insta-lose on Dishonour. Okay. Then I shouldn't insta-lose on losing all of my Provinces. It's Fake News!
Insta-win Honor? oO
Yeah, no insta-win on Honouring out, except with Dashmar.
I seem to think there was an event that allowed it, too, if you hit 60 Honour or something like that.
I think what they mean here is the victory condition check not happening right away but rather at the start or end of a turn (yours or theirs) for Honor and dishonor.
Unlike Military and Enlightenment victories.
