bowed weapons still contribute their bonus?

A player, 3 September 2025 00:53

Yes - their bonus goes to the personality it's attached to. Followers are different

Further, the stats of attached Items are not technically "bonuses" or "penalties" and thus are not affected by effects which interact with/negate/change such things. They are "modifiers". But Daisuke is correct, to be clear. 🙂

How often can you use courage in a turn?

Brook Cunningham (rules official), 3 September 2025 01:01 · in reply

Courage is useable both any number of times per turn (being "Repeatable") and, unlike all other Repeatable Interrupts, as many times per single trigger as you would like.

For the Shattered Empire legality, which sets are valid in deck building? I'm a little confused, and I want to make sure I have it straight.

Rise of Jigoku Road to Ruin Rise of Otosan Gathering Storm Shattered Empire Chaos Reigns 1 Gates Chaos Reigns 2

And due to the changes, Onyx Edition and earlier sets with black bug are now excluded from Shattered?

A player, 8 September 2025 01:09

you can use "legality:shattered empire" in Oracle of the Void to help

A player, 8 September 2025 01:09

but white-seals in the corner are what you're looking for

A player, 8 September 2025 01:10

Okay, thank you! Also is that the most played format in the community right now or are people still mainly on War of the Seals (Onyx)?

A player, 8 September 2025 01:11

anyone following this project, if they're playing with the new cards, is probably 99/100 times playing Shattered Empire legality

[ShE] I would like to better understand the interaction between Overwhelmed and One Shall Stand please. If I play the engage and win the duel and have compassion and my personality has the highest force of my army, does this mean that my opponent cannot play Overwhelmed in this battle? Or does it mean that Overwhelmed would automatically kill my personality since they "cannot be moved" by other player's card effects?

Answers on: One Shall Stand...
Brook Cunningham (rules official), 14 September 2025 02:30 · in reply

There is no reason your opponent could not play Overwhelmed (assuming their highest Force Personality at the battlefield is not the one the duel bowed; if it was, they don't have a legal target for their Overwhelmed). There is insufficient data to determine if your Personality would be destroyed; it would not necessarily be "automatic".

If he's your highest force unit and you have less than 3 people at the battlefield, he's dead.

[ShE] Can the Dragon Stronghold work on another person's ring (eg if I bring it into play under my control with Walk With the Elements for example), even though the Dragon Stronghold says "your" ring, can this include Rings I control even if I don't own them?

A player, 16 September 2025 03:56

"your" means "you control it", usually if ownership is a requirement it is explicitly called out

Question: Can I trigger this card's response as part of the action sequence when playing a Fate card, or only if you discard a fate card as part of costs or effects? Thank you!

The latter, the fate card moves to the discard pile as a game effect not part of the action in the former situation.
