Akodo Motetsu, Scourge of the Scorpion, and Akodo Motetsu, Soul of Akodo Moromao, count as the same personality, and therefore can only have 3 combined total in a deck, correct?

A player, 10 April 2025 15:33

Which sets are they from?

A player, 10 April 2025 15:33

Is one of them experienced?

A player, 10 April 2025 15:34

GoT and ShE, the former is experienced

A player, 10 April 2025 15:34

Experienced and not experienced are separate

A player, 10 April 2025 15:35

You may in fact have 3 of each

A player, 10 April 2025 15:35

Assuming neither is Unique

A player, 10 April 2025 15:42

You should also look up the rules on Overlaying 🙂

A player, 18 April 2025 13:58

In ShE legality? I don't think so

Looks like you meant to ask this in the Sun and Moon Discord instead of here? If you do, its Mod prefers you tag your Rules questions with the Format also (Imperial, OBH Legacy, etc).

They played a counterattack on me, then a rallying cry and then another counterattack in l5r ccg.. he told me it was possible

Does this card trigger from discarding it for the Kharmic action?

A player, 20 April 2025 22:36

FIrst response, to be specific

A player, 20 April 2025 22:38

Yes

A player, 20 April 2025 22:38

It also triggers from itself, and pull from the void

Brook Cunningham (rules official), 20 April 2025 22:55 · in reply

Yes, you can use that Spell's Response from the discard. Ignoring the "or another Kharmic card" part, there'd be no other reason for its "If" conditions if you couldn't do so.

A player, 20 April 2025 22:55

I figured but wished to get specific confirmation.

Hi everyone, I have a few questions about my favourite card, Walk With the Elements: If I take control of my opponent's Earth Ring, then when it gets discarded, does it go to my discard pile or to my opponent's? Also, if my Togashi Uki lost a battle, can I reshuffle my opponent's Earth Ring into my deck (to prevent her being destroyed by battle resolution), and what happens when my opponent's next dynasty phase ends, do we pull the card out of my fate deck?

A player, 21 April 2025 07:45 · in reply

Cards always goes back to the owner’s discard pile

A player, 21 April 2025 07:45 · in reply

Thanks, what about Uki's reshuffle trait?

A player, 21 April 2025 07:48

Same with shuffle. Cards can only goes into owners discard pile or deck.

A player, 21 April 2025 07:48

Unless the card rules specifically said so

A player, 21 April 2025 07:49

But most cards games nowadays don’t do that. That type of rule only back in the early days of ccg. Pre-2000

A player, 21 April 2025 07:52

I found the following the the comprehensive rules: "If a card a player owns is about to enter another player’s discard pile, it enters the owner’s corresponding discard pile instead." But sadly it doesn't say what happens if Uki reshuffles my opponent's Earth Ring into my deck. Do you know of a ruling on this?

A player, 21 April 2025 08:53

i have no point of reference for Togashi Uki. Can you link the card?

Brook Cunningham (rules official), 21 April 2025 09:31 · in reply

Comprehensive Rules bottom of page 22: "If a card a player owns is about to enter another player’s deck, it enters the owner’s deck instead in the same manner."

Way of the Dragon: If I put it into play with its open action, it discards my other edicts in play, but what if I put it into play with Tamori Tsushima's response action instead? Can I have two or more copies in play and do they have a cumulative effect? ie: +2 lobby bonus for each ring and look at top 2 cards of fate deck at start of turn?

Well, that's not intended, but technically works as things currently stand. The Designers are discussing whether it's deformative enough to warrant errata.
