Summation

3. Actions which involve one or more Personalities or Followers in their cost, such as requiring them to bow or become dishonored, or which require targeting your own Personalities or Followers who meet certain conditions, such as being a Shugenja or a Tactician or having a Chi above 2, are performed by those cards.

Is being home or in a battle a "certain condition" ie does Tireless and Right Hand (both action) target ?

Huh?

Perform != Target.

Targeting a card for a specific reason, as listed above, can make that card perform the Action.

Performing an Action DOES NOT automatically make the Action target the Performing card.

Case in point, Shosuro Maru. She performs her Action. It does not target her.

Tireless Assault targets, as per its card text: "Target a bowed or unbowed unit ..."

The first ability on Right Hand targets: "Discard the Imperial Favor to move a unit you control from one of the Defender's Provinces to another." You have to sometimes choose which unit to move, hence the Action always targets.

The second ability on Right Hand does not target any cards: "Once per turn, when one of your Personalities is moving into or out of a battle, bow your Stronghold or a Courtier to negate the movement." You only affect a movement effect. Cancellation / Negation effects do not automatically target the card that the Canceled Action / Negated Effect targeted.

Tenshu sensei

What if someone reduces to zero with the black heart the force of an opposed berserk? Is he considered to have 2F because Tenshu sensei states that your berserker gains +2F "while" opposed...

He has 0 Force.

Take Hida Tenshu himself as an example:

Base Fore = 6 Tenshu Sensei Bonus = +2F

Total Force = 8

Now you use Dark Heart = -8F

Total Force = 0

Tenshu Sensei is still factored in, but the penalty from Dark Heart is large enough to compensate for it. 6 + 2 - 8 = 0 Force.

Now, if Tenshu was unopposed when he got hit by Dark Heart, then he would only suffer a -6F penalty. If he later become opposed, he'd get that +2F bonus and have a total of 6 - 6 + 2 = 2 Force.

sensei

hello, i need to know if the shugenjas "discarted" with Jigoku sensei count as dead for puopuses of:

They aren't dead. That's the whole point of having them be "discarded" instead of "destroyed." You aren't supposed to be able to use any cheat-death effects to get around the cost of using the Sensei.

can i get them on one of my provinces with musume mura?

Yes.

and, can daigotsu dojo pay for the ability of Jigoku Sensei? (it´s a shadowlands card)

No. Jigoku Sensei is NOT a Shadowlands card.

"The Keyword Rule does not apply to Sensei cards or to Strongholds." (Diamond Edition Rulebook, page 64)

[rules[gozoku sensei

If your crane playing with gozoku sensei and kurohito exp 2 turns up can you bring the winds into play?

Sure. Gozoku Sensei only prohibits you from playing itself if you have Winds. Bringing Windsinto play once you already have Gozoku Sensei in play is not a problem.

Inappropriate posts (was: Fw: [L5R-CCG] [Rules][Jeff]Math and co)

Your complaints about the situation have probably been well noted, documented and summarily dismissed as those of someone who simply wants to powergame instead of playing a somewhat balanced format.

Discussion on l5r-ccg: good.

Personal attacks on l5r-ccg: bad.
