OK, time for the Rules for Tuesday, March 30, 2004.
Implied Traits
Quick question is the trait 'Emperor' equivalent to the trait 'Imperial'? Are there any other Implied Trauts besides those listed on page 65 of the Diamond Edition rulebook?
Emperor is not equivalent to Imperial. Believe me, as a Toturi's Army player, I would have been all about the paying 11 Gold to buy Toturi on the cheap off of Palaces of Otosan-Uchi.
I believe all the Implied Traits are in the Rulebook in one place or another, either under Implied Traits, or under the Glossary definition of the particular trait.
If you aren't playing a Storyline Simulation, Monkey Clan is interchangeable with Toturi's Army.
Courtier is interchangeable with Diplomat.
Sailor and Naval count as the same trait.
Creatures are also Nonhuman.
Human if not explicitly "Nonhuman."
Infantry if not explicitly "Cavalry."
Necromancer, Skeletal, Skeleton, Undead, and Zombie traits all make a card count as Undead. Undead automatically gives its card Shadowlands and Immune to Fear.
Ratling are Creatures (and hence Nonhuman).
Oni are Nonhuman and Shadowlands.
Mujina are Creatures (and hence Nonhuman).
question about yobi
I just wanted to know if I have the Akodo House gaurd attached to Akodo Yobi, when I play a terrain can I react twice with him to draw two cards? Thank in advance, -Andy-
You can only use a printed instance of a Reaction ONCE per trigger. Each copy of Yobi can use its Reaction ONCE on any given Terrain. This is true of all cards with printed Reactions. (Diamond Edition Rulebook, p75)
Does Shadowed Tower ignore follower's Honor Requirements?
The Shadowed Tower of the Shosuro reads: "The Shadowed Tower of the Shosuro 7PS 4GP 3FH Ignore Scorpion Clan Honor requirements if you control no Shadowlands cards. (rest omitted)..." [MRP, Diamond Edition, 27 October 2003]
Does this mean that I can also ignore Honor Requirements when attaching followers to Scorpion Clan Personalities? Such as attaching Command Staff (2 HR) to Bayushi Toson (1 PH) or Firestorm Leigon (2 HR) to Soshi Angai (1 PH).
Unless you have a follower with the Scorpion Clan trait, I don't see Shadowed Tower as having any chance of effecting them. Honor Requirements belong to the cards they are printed on. If those cards don't have the "Scorpion Clan" trait on them, then you won't get any benefit from Shadowed Tower's trait.
Heck, not even "Scorpion Courtiers" has the "Scorpion Clan" trait, so I don't see any chance of getting mileage out of this.
Of course, that's why we have Leon on this list ...
Hey Leon! If you're reading this, have you got any way to get the Scorpion Clan trait onto a follower so I can forward this to Jeff and give him yet more work? :)
And Chee'trr, Aikune xp., and Iuchi Katamari are all yet to be released, so I'll leave all questions concerning them off the main digest and in Jeff's capabale hands.
