Greetings,

Questions for Jeff A.

If I target a Personality with Monkey Magistrates attached with Honor's Cost can Monkey Magistrates bow to cancel?

No. It would make Honor's Cost more expensive, however.

Outmaneuvered by force checks for current unbowed unit force at home. Correct?

Yes (card text, Diamond rules, pg. 83).

When Attaching Kokujin's Daisho to a Personality can I sacrifice the Personality I am attaching it to, play feign death, and then the Personality would be bowed, dishonored, with the daisho attached and the daisho would have a force and chi bonus equal to the Personality's force and chi?

"Cards attached to the Personality are not returned to play" (Feign Death card text).

Q?: Ambush and Underhand

If an effect makes the announced target of an action illegal, the action has no effect. You do not pick a new target. ...WHY... AMBUSH: Reactions to the declaration of the attack happen before targeting which units attack and defend, and can affect which units are available for attack. A legal attacking unit must be picked if one exists. IMHO targeting occurs BEFORE the declaration of the attack (the attack is an Ambush effect, right?)

Ambush does not follow the standard sequence for actions. Targets for Ambush are only picked after the cost is paid and some effects have already resolved (card text).

Two rules questions

Am I right in thinking that, when you play a Personality, you add their Personal Honour to your Family Honour _before_ checking whether your Honour matches their Honour Requirement?

Incorrect (Diamond rules, pg. 55).

Enough Talk: Does this last sentence replace the normal consequences of losing a duel (ie death), or is it in addition to death of the loser?

In addition.
