Greetings,

Armor of Osano-Wo + Deadly Ground

I play deadly ground and I have enough force to destroy the province. Can I use the reaction of the Armor to put the ring of Earth into play, or does Deadly Ground prevent me to do so ?

Deadly Ground stays in force during the Resolution Segment (Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 58), and thus prevents the action.

Kwanchai, Ambush, Tireless Assault

What happens if I want to use Kwanchai to replace that personality in the ambush ?

The Personality in the Ambush goes home.

I know that I can't use tireless assault to move a personality in the ambush, but can I try to do so, to unbow a personality, even if I know I won't be able to move that personality in the ambush after it is unbowed ?

No. "Units other than the two in the Ambush originally may not move into the battle. Therefore, any action that would try to move another unit in will not satisfy the Rule of Relevance." [Jeff Alexander, 11 Aug 2003]

Latomu + Barricades

I have two provinces : 1 and 2. Latomu is in an attacking army at province 1, I have defenders in province 2, where barricades are attached. We resolve battle 1, my opponent moves Latomu in battle 2 and wants to use his reaction to make a ranged attack. Do the barricades prevent him to do his ranged attack or not ?

No, they do not. The phrase "before the defender's action" isn't read literally (Rules Archive, General Rules, Battle).

Another ambush question

the attacker and defender in the ambush were not home, and neither in a province right ? So we can't play tireless assault on one of the guys in the ambush to unbow them, right ?

Correct on both counts.

Favor for a favor

What if I can't "pay" one of these costs, do I have to pay the other ones anyway ?

No (Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 45).

And will the "Opponent may draw a card" be effective if I didn't pay the costs ?

No; the effect fails.
