Greetings,
Question about poisoned thread
My brother had one of his personalities out with the Crane tattoo one him and I played poisoned thread on the same personality. If that personality assigned to enough battles to die a chi death does it count for having been killed in a battle for the crane tattoo to bring him back to his home?
No. The Personality dies during assignment. Battles don't begin until after the assignment segment is over (Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 53).
If so does the personality regan any of the lost force/chi from poisoned thread or would he be brought back to the home with a chi still of 0 and die another chi death?
It would be 0 (Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 39)
Weapon Tokens
Can a weapon token be bowed[?]
No (Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 24).
Yoritomo Rui rules questions
If I have Rui vs. Doji Kurohito with my opponent over 20 honor can she still kill him (checks against printed force)?
Yes.
(no subject)
Can you Show of Good Faith a personality that will not join your faction, like a clan champ?
No (Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 73).
Ancestors
Do [Ancestors] affect an opponent's ability to target the personality in any way[?] Or, do they just add their force/chi and the action printed on the card?
It's not possible to give a general answer to that question. Each card has to be read on a case-by-case basis as to what it's looking for.
"Ninja Thief" in Diamond
[Ninja Thief] says: "Limited: Move an Item from one Personality to another." without the "...who can legally attach it." clause. Does that mean the card works differently in Diamond?
Left for Jeff Alexander.
I will note, however, that strictly speaking, the original text was redundant. Cards do not allow you to break rules or another card's text unless its text *specifically* allows it. "Do this, if it's legal" and "Do this" are equivalent.
