Rules for 13 September 2003, Part 2
how exactly would one stack a deck so that it only functioned after being cut? Wouldn't you have to know where your opponent was going to make the cut in order to do this?
Most people cut decks somewhere in the middle. I think it's safe to say that it's unusual for people to cut within, oh, 5 cards of either the top or bottom.
A cut moves the bottom portion of the deck to the top and /vice versa/.
Given those two facts, you're going to be ahead of the game if you can manipulate your cards so that the best ones are in the bottom half rather than the top half, because this makes it more likely that you'll draw those cards in the early turns of the game. Over the long haul, this would give you better hands, more successful combos, etc.
