Yokuni Sensei and Border Keep

L5R CCG Rules board, 1 October 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Yokuni Sensei's Oracle text reads:

You must include at least one Event in your play deck in order to legally play this card. After an Event resolves: Return it to the province in which it was revealed instead of discarding it, unless its effects already put a card there in its place; if it was returned, delay its discarding until the end of its owner's next Events Phase. It does not resolve again, and it may not be voluntarily discarded per the Rulebook during its owner's Dynasty Phase.

We all know Border Keep. My understanding is that you CAN BK an event that's being held in the province by the Sensei, but does it resolve again if it's re-revealed later in the game?

Yokuni seems to have a clause preventing that ("It does not resolve again"), but on the other hand the event goes "face down and out of play" after it's Border Keep'ed, so I wanted to confirm...

My educated guess is that it doesn't resolve again, in spite of going "FD & OoP", because Yokuni is creating some effect on the global game state or something, and not any modification on the event card itself. Incidentally, shouldn't the "It does not resolve again" be qualified with "until the game ends" or similar? As written, it seems it would go away at the end of the turn... no?

Also on Yokuni Sensei, I'm guessing the "unless its effects already put a card there" applies to every event that says "this card remains in play in your home" (e.g. Death of Ryoshun)?
