Bayushi Misaki and removal from game

L5R CCG Rules board, 25 September 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Misaki has had a couple clarifications but this one seems to be absent, and I am curious as to its mechanics.

Misaki reads as follows:

Open: If it is another player's turn, target one of his Personalities: Before this phase ends, straighten him. Before this turn ends, if the Personality was not assigned to attack this turn, dishonor him and his controller loses Honor equal to his base Personal Honor.

And my question goes as follows. If I target a personality with Bayushi Misaki, and then after her action resolves, they remove their personality from the game, what happens?

Normally, I know that all tracking rules are forgotten and the effects never happen, but in Misaki's case it seems to me that her wording doesn't have any continued ongoing tracking EXCEPT 'card x assigns to attack'.

Would they still lose honor at the end of the turn?
