I was playing a game today, and had an interesting thing come up. Tried a quick search of the forums to find an answer, and no one has asked any questions about Fortress of Lidless Eyes. First.
I had the Fortress out, and my opponent had a Stolen Merchandise (Open: Target another player's Holding with a base Gold Cost from 1 to 4: This card copies one of its base abilities that does not itself copy abilities, or one of its Gold-producing traits). He copied the ability off of Lidless Eyes (Open: Once per game, target a Personality: Bow him. Negate his straightening while this card remains in play). He then proceeded to use that ability to bow one of my personalities. Now, we both know that the ability is removed from the holding at the end of the turn, BUT, since the ability stays active as long as the holding ins't removed, that personality is bowed until his Stolen Merchandise is removed from play, correct? Also, as long as he keep choosing to copy the ability from Lidless Eyes, he can choose to bow new personalities every turn since the Merchandise is getting a new once per game ability every turn.
Do feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, not that you needed my permission. I'm actually kinda hoping that I've got this one right. I was playing Yasuki, so destroying holdings is no problem for me, and Stolen Merchandise would become a pretty amazing card for my deck.
Thanks!

You're gonna laugh (I hope), but apparently you both overlooked Fortress of Lidless Eyes's very first trait:
"This card's base ability will not be copied."
