A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I know that you are not taking questions on Seeds cards but this is a query about the new rules / keywords that were spoiled with the Seeds set previews, specifically the keyword Elite. As there are currently four cards that are legal for upcoming tournaments that have the keyword Elite so my question is, does the new rule mentioned in the Seeds set only take effect when it is released?
If this question is also affected by the not taking seeds questions then sorry and you can delete the post if you like.
Thanks.

The Elite keyword will go "active" the same time as Seeds of Decay becomes tournament legal.
