Singh Remnants on created personality

L5R CCG Rules board, 27 May 2012 to 28 May 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Hi there,

If i create a personality, an ancestor for example, and attach singh remnants to it, what will happen to it when the ancestor dies (by battle resolution or strategy)? Is it removed from the game, because the created personality will be, or will it be discarded because the personality was originally destroyed?

I am sorry if this was answered somewhere before, but none of the search terms i could think of got me anywhere.

Thank you!

Created cards aren't technically removed from the game when they leave play; rather, they cease to exist (see here). So, the Singh Remnants leave play the same way as the Ancestor to whom they were attached (destruction), then end up in the discard pile as they would usually. The Ancestor would end up in the discard pile too, if it still existed, but it doesn't.
