Oni no Akuma has as a trait
Assigning or moving Akuma to a battlefield has the additional cost, "Destroy your performing Follower."
How can a follower be performing a trait? Because last I checked assigning wasn't something that could be performed.
http://rules.l5r.com/EE_Glossary_P-Q#Perform Only talks about performing actions.
2nd question,
If an action is moving Oni no Akuma to a battlefield, can you destroy a performing follower under the effects of Nerve Striketo pay the movement cost, or is it technically part of the action that moved him?

Well, assigning isn't something that usually has a cost either. It's rather a delicate line, maintaining the function of the older card while giving it newer wording, and perhaps Akuma's trait needs further review.

Tentatively, no.
But, like I said, the updating of Akuma's trait could perhaps use some review and tweaking.
