Clarification on The Sincerity of the Dragon

L5R CCG Rules board, 8 April 2012 to 9 April 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Battle/Open: If you are a Dragon Clan player, choose your performing unbowed Dragon Clan Personality: Name a number. After the next resolution this turn of your action from another Strategy or Ring with a base Focus Value equal to the number, draw a card, and choose a player, who discards a card. Remove this card from the game.

Here's the question:

Let's say I can play Sincerity of the Dragon during battle, and I name the value 4. For my next action I play Game of Sincerity (2 focus value). My opponent passes. I then play Brave New World (4 focus value). Does the sincerity of the Dragon then resolve?

I assume this to be the case (and the answer is yes), since the Sincerity of the Dragon is a delayed effect waiting for the next action with a specific focus value (and not only the immediate next action).

Yes, that sequence is correct.
