How is this interaction any different than the interaction between Game of Dice and Isawa Kimi xp2?

Regards,
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Regards,
The wording is different.
Shiro Chugo sets up an ongoing effect that will reduce any gain or loss from the action's effects by 2. It isn't checking to see whether or not the action caused the gain during its resolution (as most actions do) or at a later point - the reduction is triggered when the gain happens (as long as it happens in the same turn).
Kimi, on the other hand, requires the resolution of an action that put cards into a player's hand. A Game of Dice is not an action that put cards into a player's hand at the time it resolves, and therefore is not a valid trigger for Kimi.
