I have recently heard a ruling where your when you redirect an effect that target multiple people you can choose the one option in the text "one to three targets".
1. The ruling I saw involved "Gold and Steel" and Ryoshun's Guidance". Where "Gold and Steel" says: Target one to three attachments( The Player Chose to Target Three) with a gold cost of 0: Destroy them. "Ryoshun's" says: When another player's action would target one of your cards, discard this card: choose another of your non-stronghold cards at the same location.the action targets it instead, if legal. He ruled that "Ryoshun's allowed the player to choose the one aspect and only target a single attachment. Is this accurate and if so could you explain how it works?
2. If that is a legal ruling then can "Blade of champions" allow you to do the same redirect? Blade reads: When a battle action would target a card in this unit, bow this card: The action targets another of your cards if legal.
3. Again if this is Legal. How would the ruling apply to "The Power of A Word" and Redirects like Hida Kisada, Chugo Seido,Blade of Champions, and Ryoshun's Guidance?
The Power of A Word Reads: Target one to three enemy dishonorable personalities: the shadow of their shame shall fall upon their shoulders. Move them Home.
Chugo Seido reads: When another player's action would target one of your personalities, destroy this card: Choose one of your samurai at the same location. the action targets him instead, if legal.
Hida Kisada Reads: When another player's battle action would target Kisada: He outmaneuvers it. chose another personality you control at Kisada's location. the action targets the personality instead, if legal.
For Blade of Champions and Ryoshun's see above in 1 & 2.

No, that ruling you heard was not correct.
If a player targets three cards with Gold and Steel, the other player may react with Ryoshun's Guidance to one of the targetings and change that targeting to another card (which cannot be one of the other two cards that were also targeted, and won't change unless it's a legal target; a 0 cost attachment, in GaS's case). Ryoshun's Guidance, and similar cards like Chugo Seido which allow you to change a target, do NOT allow you to change the number of targets chosen.
