Wanderers Revealed vs. enlight, Konetsu and Fosuta

L5R CCG Rules board, 2 April 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

So... with the Ring MRPs to include the respective Element keyword (and, by EE rules, their title in itself not counting as that keyword for purposes of an enlightenment win), does Wanderers Revealed trump enlightenment? [my perception -> YES]

"Enlightenment victory

Enlightenment victory represents finding a path of insight beyond the material world, reflecting on experience in war and peace through the philosophies of the Five Elements. A player wins through an Enlightenment Victory after the start of one of his or her turns if he or she has in play five Ring cards, each with a different element keyword, and each of which last entered play by its own text (as opposed to other effects that can put a Ring into play). "

Wanderers Revealed (Oracle) -> Target a Unique card. It permanently loses all keywords, traits, and abilities.

Also, if Konetsu copies Isawa Fosuta xp's ability (until end of turn) and, in the same turn, bows to "activate it", what happens? Do you get to keep putting Curse tokens at the start of each turn? [my perception -> YES]

Knoetsu -> Maho Battle/Open: Target a Shadowlands Human Personality: Choose one of his abilities that does not itself copy abilities. Konetsu copies it.

Fosuta -> Maho Open: Bow Fosuta: Lose 6 Honor. While Fosuta remains bowed, you may negate his straightening and, at the start of each turn, you may target a Personality and give him a -1F/-1C Curse token. After the next time this game Fosuta straightens or leaves play, destroy all Curse tokens.

Yes, it appears that thanks to rule and templating changes, Wanderers Revealed is now quite effective Enlightenment meta, should it resolve up while a player's Ring is in play.

And yes, if Kokujin Konetsu Experienced copies Isawa Fosuta Experienced's ability, its effects will continue while Konetsu remains bowed, even after the ability itself disappears. (Please, don't forget to use full titles and Experience levels when asking about cards; it helps with other players' Searching and to avoid being tripped up by innocent human error, we're going to look their text up in the Oracle rather than rely upon transcriptions in posts).
