L5R CCG Rules board, 3 March 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

If i control a shugenja then attach a spell to him, then all my shugenja die, but unmei, can he preform his spells still? so the question is can non shugenja preform spells? i know they cannot attach them but can they preform them if they already have them attached?

No. The CR and the Rulebook Glossary both state that if a Spell somehow has become attached to a non-Shugenja, the abilities on the Spell cannot be used.
