Can you use old rings with the old text in Emperor Edition tournaments as long as you play them by the new EE text? I've got the foil versions so I thought it might be fun to still play with them.
Using old rings in EE
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

You may use any printing of any card, but they must always be played by the most recent printing (or errata).

I was wondering if it was tournament legal to play older versions of the five Ring cards in Emperor Edition tournaments even though the text is different. I figured it would work just like an MRP and that it would be fine to play older version. However, I thought that I'd ask just in case. I have the CE foil rings that I would like to keep playing.
