If death from a ranged attack is negated by Hundred-Fold Cut, does the force penalty and additional ranged attack clause still go into effect? This question occurs to me due to the fact that the negation on Hundred-Fold Cut merely negates the Kensai's destruction from the actions effects, rather than the effects themselves. (As in Iron Will or Effortless Counterattack.)
Koshin Keep and Hundred-Fold Cut
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

You are correct, for the reason you stated. Koshin Keep's effects will still apply.
