Waystation of the Path + Battle Resolution

L5R CCG Rules board, 21 January 2012 to 22 February 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I realize that maybe the rulings involving Overlaying might still be under discussion, since such questions have gone unanswered over the last week, but another question came up in a recent game so I'm just throwing this out there for you to answer whenever you figure things out...

I control two Henshin, Asako Joe and Asako Bob. Joe attacks province #1 and Bob attacks province #2. I resolve the battle at Province #1 and Joe goes home from battle resolution. Then, at the next battle at province #2, Bob is about to be destroyed, so I use the reaction on Waystation of the Path to overlay Bob onto Joe. I now want to move Bob into the current battle at Province #2. Can I move him in, or does the fact that Joe was in a battle resolution somehow "carry over" onto the overlayed personality?

Thank you!

Still under discussion. Will endeavor to have an answer to you ASAP.

The overlaid card in this case will remember that it was in battle resolution and cannot move back in.
