In a recent game, my opponent played a strategy that was performed by his low PH personality. I reacted with Iron Will. He then put the card back in his hand and announced the same action. When I argued that the card was discarded, he said that at the recent tournament in Fort Walton, the judge ruled that playing the card from your hand counted as a cost, and therefore was ignored due to Iron Will's text.
I disagree, as costs are shown before the colon, and nowhere in the rules (that I can find) supports what he said. However, the judge must have found something that backed up his decision, so I wanted to get an official ruling.
Iron Will Text Reaction: After another player targets your Paragon with a Battle action performed by a Personality with lower Personal Honor: The action's costs are ignored and its effects are negated. That player may take an additional Battle action.
