A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. viewtopic.php?f=59&t=64222&p=822398&hilit=overlay#p822398 (from 2007) So overlaying an honorable personality onto a dishonored personality results in a dishonored personality. Does the reverse happen if I overlay a dishonored personality onto an honorable personality (resulting in an honorable personality)?
Is game state tracking a cumulative thing, or just a snapshot? "Personality X was dishonored, then rehonored, then dishonored again, with the most recent game state change being the current one" vs "Doesn't matter what happened previously, personality X is currently dishonorable, and if he becomes honorable in the future, he was never dishonorable as far as the current game state cares"

Is there a known way this could happen? I'm always nervous about these kinds of questions generally if there is a specific set of effects involved.

Your Clan Needs You to bring an experienced personality into play during battle, they get dishonored during that battle, returned to province by Your Clan Needs You (still dishonored), then overlay during dynasty.

There is always the possibility - in Legacy - that a Daidoji Inada with Spirit of Shadows plays Sly Deceiver and target a Henshin while playing Waystation of the Path is targeted while still dishonorable...
Or more simply, if you're playing Waystation of the Path and have a dishonorable Henshin perform the SH's ability.

(related to viewtopic.php?f=59&t=95075, which has been under discussion for like 5 weeks now ;v ) So if my dishonored henshin overlays an honorable personality, is the resulting merged personality honorable or dishonorable?
Mostly I'm curious about the game state tracking I asked about, since the current rulings regarding overlaying seem to be that the game state of both cards is somehow merged and all changes apply to the 'new' personality. "Is game state tracking a cumulative thing, or just a snapshot?
