Retribution

L5R CCG Rules board, 18 November 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Player 1 attacks, with personality A player 2 Retributions and attacks, player 1 defends with no one, can personality A use a movement to move to the battlefield?

Player 1 attacks, with personality A. player 2 Retributions and attacks, player 1 defends with no one, can personality A use a movement to move to the battlefield?

If this is a question about the Second-Battle Rule (http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Battles#Second-Battle_Rule), note that it only prevents a Personality from mobing the same Attack Phase. Retribution's own text says it creates a new Attack Phase, so Second-Battle Rule does not apply. Which would mean, yes, the previously attacking Personality can swing on in.
