Recon vs Reconnaissance

L5R CCG Rules board, 3 November 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Ok, im running scouts alot, and alot of the older cards say, "unless the current battlefield's province was targeted by a Recon action this turn. So my question is if i have reconnaissance does that fullfill the requirement stated above?

Example, i attack my opponents province, i react with, "Seeking the Truth" it never actualy targets the province, but the personality instead, it also says i now have Reconnaissance. So after that i play "Hunting the Daughter" does my scout have to bow?

Having Reconnaissance is equivalent to having targeted the Province with a Recon action.

See Glossary, Reconnaissance.
