rule questions/how things work?

L5R CCG Rules board, 23 June 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

At the end of the battle you count up total force right, my question is do you count every unbowed person and follower, and do you count the followers that are not bowed but there personality is bowed?

Is there a way to transfer items/spells/followers without having another card that says so?

can you use any battle strategies cards without having a personality at the battle, mainly like "rout" or terrains?

2vs2 questions:

if you def. your teammate do you come home bowed?

Total Force: "An army's total Force is the sum of the modified Force of all unbowed Personalities and all unbowed Followers in the army."

No.

No per the Rule of Presence, unless the card explicitly reads "even if you control no units at the current battlefield" (e.g. Outer Walls) or it moves any of your units to the current battlefield.

2vs2 questions: if you def. your teammate do you come home bowed?

Yes, per Final Steps: "Regardless of who wins, loses, or ties in the battle, all attacking and allied units at its battlefield return home simultaneously; then, all units that returned home bow simultaneously."
