In a previous ruling it was stated that you could overpay on a free attachment allowing Imperial Artificer to trigger a draw and discard.
With the new changes to the cost and effect bracketing, is this possible to do with the recon reaction from Kyuden Hida (exp)?
Kyuden Hida (exp) Recon Reaction: After engaging, targer the current battlefield's province: Create and attach a 0F Scout Follower to each of one to three of your personalities in your current army........
Imperial Atrificer Bow this card: produce 2 Gold. If this pays for a follower or item attaching to a Samurai, you may draw and discard a card.
My concern is that KH (exp) has no gold cost included as part of the action's cost. When it was ruled that you could overpay for something like Farmlands follower tokens, Farmlands specifically has a gold cost in the action's cost. The token that is created by KH (exp) is just a 0F scout follower, so I assume it has the default 0gc, but, is that good enough to allow me to overpay for a card that doesn't have a printed gold cost in the action's cost?
Thank you!

I believe all permutations of this question are dealt with here: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=77808 Whether you're paying for an action does not matter.
Not sure, though, what changes to how costs and effects are written that you think are relevant here. So I am perhaps missing part of the argument.
