Shadow Plays - Takaharu - Keyword Interaction

My apologies if this topic has been touched on before, I did several searches and found nothing pertinent.

My question is how keyword interaction works on Items, when a reaction or action targets a keyword.

Example - Shadow Plays - Battle: Give your target Ninja +2F. (Second action on card) Blowdarts - Ninja • Weapon

Is it legal to play Shadow Plays on Blowdarts for the force pump, making the force bonus immune to Shameful Injury? If so, is it also legal to use Takaharu's reaction to redirect an action that would target blowdarts, if the new target would be a legal choice?

Reaction: When another player's Battle action would target a Ninja at Takaharu’s battlefield: It targets a different Ninja you control at that battlefield, if legal.

Yes and yes.

There is no rule that limits "Ninja" to a particular card type.
