Precise Strike and the Good Faith rule

L5R CCG Rules board, 16 February 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Didn't see this in search, but my search-fu is weak.

I just want to make sure I have this correct. Precise strike reads:

Precise Strike: Battle: Target your Personality, and bow him unless your current army has equal or fewer units than the current enemy army: Bow a target enemy card without unbowed attachments.

My question is two part. If I have only one personality at a battlefield who is bowed and my opponent has equal to or more units, I can play this card, correct? I assume so becasue the bowing as a cost is conditional. However, if I have, say, two bowed personalities at a battlefield and my opponent has only one person there, I cannot announce Precise Strike becasue I cannot pay the conditional cost of bowing, correct?

Thanks in advance.
