Let's say I have Mirumoto Smith at the battlefield with Blade of Perfection equipped, but he's alone. At home I have some other dudes.
My opponent kills Mirumoto Smith, and Blade of PErfection goes to the discard. Is it legal to use it's reaction to attach to a personality who is at home?
The 2 arguments I believe are:
1) Reactions don't require presence, so it's fine.
2) The reaction is an action with a mandatory target. As it's currently an attack phase, and there are no legal targets at the current battlefield, the people at home aren't legal targets, and so it's reaction may not be used.
Cheers

Yes, assuming Mirumoto Smith was destroyed by an immediate effect from an action that your opponent took, per Combat Segment: Reactions are not subject to rules of Presence and Location.
