Attuned to the Elements

L5R CCG Rules board, 9 October 2010 to 11 October 2010

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I have a question regarding Attuned to the Elements:

Attuned to the Elements Strategy Battle/Open: Choose one or more of your performing unbowed Shugenja or Monk personalities, up to the number of Rings you control: Give each of the +3F 3FV

can I choose either one monk or a number of monks up to the number of rings I control?

I'm not sure where you're going with this. Care to elaborate on the distinction you're getting at?

i have been wondering about this as well. i believe that what Kagetsume is asking is if i control no rings, can i target 1 shugenja or monk and give them +3 force or do i have to have a ring in order to play this?

The number of Personalities that you choose must be greater than or equal to one and less than or equal to the number of Rings you control. If you control no Rings, you cannot announce the action as no number of Personalities can satisfy that criteria.
