Humble House + Tsubo the Drunk

L5R CCG Rules board, 6 October 2010

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Humble House:

Limited: Bow this card: Target a Personality. He visits a sake house. Give him a +1F Sake token. Remove it after your next Events phase.

Tsubo's (relevent) trait:

After each of your Events Phases: Remove a Sake token from Tsubo.

So here's my question: Turn 1, I give Tsubo a Sake token with Humble House.

Turn 2 Events phase finishes. Both traits "trigger". I choose Tsubo's trait to resolve first. I remove the token that I specifically put on him with Humble House.

Humble House's trait now resolves. It specifies to remove the token that it placed on Tsubo, not just any token. Now that token is no longer on Tsubo, it doesn't remove a token.

Does this process work? (Allowing you to effectively keep the same number of Sake tokens on Tsubo as long as you can keep pumping Sake into him).

Does this process work?

Yes it does. See "Humble House and Tsubo the Drunk".
