Successful Bounty and Seppuku

L5R CCG Rules board, 14 September 2010

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Successful Bounty reads: Until your Events Phase three turns from now begins, after each time a Personality opposing a Magistrate or Courtier becomes dishonorable from an action's effect, the Personality's controller loses 2 Honor.

Bayushi Maemi Battle: Give a target enemy Personality -3F. Dishonor him if his Force is now 0.

If I use Maemi to reduce a 3F personality to 0F, and they are dishonored, Successful Bounty has already resolved, can they use the Rulebook effect of Seppuku?

I assume the answer is no, since there is no 'action' making them lose honor, but rather a continual effect of an event. But I want to make sure here!

Successful Bounty is not an action, so no.
