Hey guys,
Concealed Scroll Battle: If you have attached a Spell this battle to a Shugenja who was opposed at the time: Draw 2 Cards.
My understanding of this card is that "who was opposed at the time" means you can target any Shugenja (i.e. one that was sent home) regardless of location as long as a Spell was attached to him during a battle segment. That being said, if there is no longer any presence at the battlefield, can this action be taken or is it subject to the rule of presence (even though the target may no longer be at the current battlefield).
Thanks.

Concealed Scroll: (I)f there is no longer any presence at the battlefield, can this action be taken(?)
No.

In reference to this thread viewtopic.php?f=59&t=84702
Concealed scroll does not target, so it does not have the requirement of targeting an opposed shugenja. Why is this card not able to be played if the shugenja is no longer oppposed, when it looks specifically for if they were opposed at the time the spell was attached in its text? What clause in this card is keeping it from being played later in the battle once enemy presence has been removed?

You have misunderstood the original question. Togashi_Azrael asked whether Concealed Scroll's action could be taken if there was no longer any presence at the battlefield. Zen answered no, which is correct: like all Battle actions, Concealed Scroll is subject to the rule of presence: "Battle actions can only be taken by a player who controls a unit at the current battlefield."
The unit at the current battlefield, controlled by the player who takes Concealed Scroll's action, need not be lead by the Shugenja who was opposed when a Spell was attached to him during this battle.
