Daigotsu And Chagatai's armor

I have recently ran into a problem and the only question i found similar is Daigotsu Vs The last one however, if I use Daigotsu to take control of an opponents personality and he either has an unused chags armor or i move one to him can I use its reaction to save him.

After Daigotsu enters play: Lose 40 Honor.

Battle: Permanently give a target enemy Personality with lower Chi Shadowlands. He succumbs to the Dark Lord's will. Take control of him (if you do so, he joins your army). If you now control him, destroy him after this battle ends.

Chagatai's Armor +5 F +0 C 10 GC

Armor • Unique

Reaction: Before the resolution of another player's action: Negate either the bowing, destruction, or movement of this Personality from the action's effects.

Battle: Bow this card: Straighten this unit or move it to the current battlefield.

My reasoning behind this is At the time he was selected it was another players action so is it still considered another players action for the duration of the turn until he is or isn't destroyed. Another card this could apply to is I do not die so easily.

I do not die so easily 0 GC

Reaction: After another player's action targets your Personality during a battle: Negate his destruction from the action's effects. After the resolution of your next Battle action this battle, destroy him.

No, you may not.

Chagatai's Armor's Reaction triggers "Before the resolution of another player's action". At that time, the effects of Daigotsu's action have not yet resolved and the current controller whomever has the armor attached has the option of taking the Reaction, not you. (That WOULD be awfully nice of him to do for you, but it's his choice.) By the time you take control, the trigger has passed and it's no longer legal to take the Armor's Reaction.

The same is essentially true for I Do Not Die So Easily. Its trigger is after targeting, which is still before the effect gives you control.
