A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Lets say i have in my province a personality, i have 2 secluded outpost, could i pay with the secluded outpost x2 and in essence have a total of lowering an item by 8 or does it go into effect first secluded triggers i have 4 to go towards an attachment and then another 4 to go to another attachment in hand? or would i only get an attachment minus 4 total?
secluded outpost-holding-6 gold cost:Pay 4 gold for a personality then as they enter play lower an attachment from your hand by 4 paying the rest

Searching the forum (see upper right corner of screen) probably would have pulled that up faster than waiting for an answer.

No, each Holding produces a separate delayed effect and such effects cannot be combined: you must apply each of them separately.

Apologies that the question didn't exactly concern two Secluded Outpost. It seemed to me that the logic -- "Each instance of attaching is resolved completely before the next begins" -- was identical in the two cases, so I thought that would answer the question.
