Battle Resolution Timing

L5R CCG Rules board, 12 August 2009

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Ok, first of all: I read the faq, and it is clear like bright water, but... I don't know why I didn't get it, maybe because my first language isn't the english, the case is:

In a tie, according to the FAQ, you both rehonor all personalities in both armies and the enemy leader destroy your personalities and vice-versa. My question is: Who destroy the other's first? Is the destruction announced personality by personality or the entire army at once (I highly doubt, since nothing happens at the same time)?

I ask this because of Conspiracy, it came yesterday in a game where my opponent was very low in honor and this could end the match.

In a tie, according to the FAQ,

The FAQ (http://rules.l5r.com/CE_FAQ) does not mention ties. I'm guessing you mean the Comprehensive Rules.

you both rehonor all personalities in both armies and the enemy leader destroy your personalities and vice-versa. My question is: Who destroy the other's first? Is the destruction announced personality by personality or the entire army at once?

The entire army at once. This is what "simultaneously" means.

http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Battles#C._Resolution_Segment: "The Attacker and Defender simultaneously destroy all cards in their respective enemy leader's army."

(I highly doubt, since nothing happens at the same time)?

Not true. Many things happen at the same time in L5R. Actions do not, but individual effects can, targeting can, etc.
