Hida Sozen Exp/ Exp2

L5R CCG Rules board, 15 March 2009

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

If I use Insight to play a Warriors Challenge or another duel from my opponents fate deck, and issue this duel with my Hida Sozen Exp or Exp2 against an enemy personality, can Hida Sozen be destroyed by this action? Basically "Other players actions..." on Sozen, does it mean other players cards, or actually that player anouncing the action?

Yes your Hida Sozen can be destroyed by this action, because it would be your action, not another player's.

Basically "Other players actions..." on Sozen, does it mean other players cards, or actually that player anouncing the action?

"Other players’ actions" means "actions taken by other players", not "actions from other players' cards".

Special wording rules, Possessive case: "When referring to actions (as distinct from abilities), the possessive case refers to the player who took the action, regardless of the owner or controller of a card it is on. Example: If a player is able to take an action from an ability on one of your cards, the effects come from that player’s action, but come from your cards and are considered your card effects."
