L5R CCG Rules board, 6 March 2009

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Akodo Hiroshi's ability states "Battle: Attach your target discarded Follower to a target personality in Hiroshi's Army"

Questions 1) Does this count as an Equip action? 2) It does state wether or not costs are waived or paid. So do I have to pay for the follower?

Thanks for your time.

Nothing "counts as" an Equip action but the Equip action itself.

Akodo Hiroshi's Battle action attach your discarded Follower to a Personality in his army. Whenever an attachment card enters play from any out-of-play area (e.g. your Fate discard pile), its Gold cost and any other costs of bringing it into play must be paid (see Using attachments). This rule is supposed to be well-known, that is why you will no longer see any reminder text on cards such as Akodo Hiroshi.
